Dyslexia 101
This training goes over what dyslexia really is. (A completely unique brain that processes input differently) AID will be explained- differences in the areas of auditory processing, information processing, and directional processing, and how these differences will affect learning and living. Participants will be given statistics and testimonials regarding the outcomes for those with dyslexia that are supported and those who are not. The warning signs of dyslexia will be shared and strategies to help notice those signs in everyday behavior. Some tips and tricks to support a person with dyslexia will be explored. There will be interaction between the participants and some multisensory experiences in this training.
This training is perfect for anyone in a relationship with a person with dyslexia. (Since dyslexics are 20% of the population, this is everyone!) This training will give participants understanding and tools to live and thrive with the wonderful dyslexics in their lives.

Dyslexia 201 Parent/Child with Dyslexia Talk
This training goes over what dyslexia really is. (A completely unique brain that processes information differently) AID will be explained- differences in the areas of auditory processing, information processing, and directional processing, and how these differences will affect learning and living. This is done in a very simple way, using our brain characters (Dougie Dyslexic Brain and Allie Average Brain). After each section parents and children will have a chance to communicate to each other using “Now I understand why….”, “I never knew….”, or “Learning this made me feel …” prompts. We will discuss statistics about students with dyslexia and the importance of dealing with it, having understanding and acceptance and getting the help your dyslexic student needs. Since we as presenters are dyslexic, we will share age appropriate stories both funny and emotional that will encourage understanding and later conversation. We will spend time talking about successful dyslexics and share age appropriate tips and tricks we used in our homes both for academics and everyday living.

Dyslexia 301A Teacher Inservice Course
This is a wonderful training for neurodiversity, inclusion, and equity. Dyslexia is mostly handled in the general education classroom, so our training is created for classroom teachers, but would be helpful for any school personnel. We have had principals and superintendents say it was transformational for them. This training goes over what dyslexia really is. (A completely unique brain that processes information differently) AID will be explained- differences in the areas of auditory processing, information processing, and directional processing, and how these differences will affect learning and living. Participants will be given statistics and testimonials regarding the outcomes for those with dyslexia that are supported and those who are not. The warning signs of dyslexia will be shared as well as strategies to notice those signs in everyday behavior. We will explore how to avoid the “diagnosis drama” and give participants tools to recognize students with dyslexic tendencies quickly. We will explain how to improve learning outcomes for all students, while at the same time taking DYSLEXIA BY S.T.O.R.M.! (Strategies, Trade Outs, Open minded Teaching, Remediation and Repetition, and Multisensory Learning) We will give practical tools to teachers that they can use the day after the training. There will be interaction and collaboration between the participants and some multisensory experiences in this training.
This training is absolutely necessary for anyone in education. ⅕ of our students are dyslexic and they are struggling helplessly in our classrooms. With support, they have what it takes to be some of our most amazing students.

Dyslexia 301B Teacher Inservice Course
This is a wonderful training for neurodiversity, inclusion, and equity. You need to experience training one first to make this training effective.We briefly recap key points from Teacher Training Part One. After training one, teachers know why reaching dyslexics in their classroom is so crucial (Our WHY!) and that teaching with that goal in mind actually helps all the students in a classroom. Our “Part Two” training is then focused on the application of S.T.O.R.M.! We show teachers the brass tacks of using Strategies, Trade outs, Open Minded Teaching, Remediation/Repetition and Multistory Learning. (Our HOW!) GE teachers leave our training with tools to identify those in their classes with dyslexic tendencies, a teacher specific, teacher created plan for how they will support those students, and the basics of a multistory unit that the teacher created, based on a specific concept they are teaching that year! They will have time to collaborate with teaching partners. We will demonstrate different programs that we have used with success. We preach differentiated learning and we really want to practice it in this training!
This training is absolutely necessary for anyone in education. ⅕ of our students are dyslexic and they are struggling helplessly in our classrooms. With support, dyslexic students have what it takes to be some of our most amazing pupils. This training equips teachers with the practical, hands on tools they need to make this support a reality!

This training goes over what dyslexia really is. (A completely unique brain that processes information differently) AID will be explained- differences in the areas of auditory processing, information processing, and directional processing, and how these differences will affect learning and living. Participants will be given statistics and testimonials regarding the outcomes for those with dyslexia that are supported and those who are not. The warning signs of dyslexia will be shared and strategies to help notice those signs in everyday behavior. Some tips and tricks to support a person with dyslexia will be explored. There will be interaction between the participants and some multisensory experiences in this training.

(A completely unique brain that processes information differently) AID will be explained- differences in the areas of auditory processing, information processing, and directional processing, and how these differences will affect learning and living. Participants will be given statistics and testimonials regarding the outcomes for those with dyslexia that are supported and those who are not. The warning signs of dyslexia will be shared as well as strategies to notice those signs in everyday behavior. We will explore how to avoid the “diagnosis drama” and give participants tools to recognize students with dyslexic tendencies quickly.
